WNBF Binghamton NY -1290
this is one of the easier US stations on the QRG here in Sweden and I heard them just after the TOH news as "Newsradio 12-90 WNBF" then back to the C2C program.
Situated just north of the PA/NY border at the junction of the Susquehanna and the Chenango Rivers. The town is named after a wealthy Philadelphian banker, William Bingham, who bought the surrounding land in 1792. Binghamton has a humid continental climate with cold, snowy winters and warm wet summers. The snowfall is significant, with an annual total of 196 cm.The reason is northwestern storms from the nearby greater lakes/ Finger lakes.
Rick Elliker, C.E. confirmed my reception.
